Powering Forward Together: Your Annual NEM True-Up Payout is Here

At KCCP, community is at the heart of everything we do. We’re not just here to keep the lights on — we’re here to help King City build a cleaner, more resilient, and more affordable energy future, one household and one rooftop at a time. When you choose KCCP, you’re choosing local control over local power, and you’re helping keep energy dollars right here in our community.

Great News for Our NEM Participants

We’re excited to share some good news with our Net Energy Metering (NEM) Program participants: this year’s annual true-up and balancing payout for surplus generated energy is scheduled for July 2026.

If you’re a NEM customer, this is the time of year when your account is reconciled — comparing the energy you generated against the energy you used over the past 12 months. If you generated more clean energy than you consumed, that surplus translates into a credit or payout on your account. It’s our way of recognizing the investment you’ve made in solar and other renewable generation, and the contribution you’re making to a greener grid for everyone in King City.

Thinking About Going Solar?

If you’re not yet a NEM participant but you’ve been considering solar for your home or business, now is a great time to explore your options. Between falling equipment costs, available incentives, and the annual true-up payout, going solar has never been more accessible for King City residents.
